An Arizona State ID is an official photo identification available to residents of all ages, including adults and minors. It’s a great option for individuals who do not have a driver license but still need valid identification for everyday use.

Note: A standard ID is not REAL ID-compliant for air travel.

What You Need to Apply – You must apply in person and bring:

1. Proof of Identity

One of the following documents is required:

  • U.S. birth certificate
  • U.S. passport
  • Other approved identity documents
2. Social Security Number
  • Provide your SSN (card not required)
3. Proof of Arizona Residency

Two of the following documents is required:

  • Must show your name and physical address
  • Examples:

    • Bank statement
    • Lease or mortgage agreement
    • Insurance document
4. Name Change Documents

Please ensure all of your documents match exactly (name, spelling, etc.) to prevent delays

  • Marriage certificate
  • Divorce decree
